Dispatches International is the quarterly publication of the International Partnerships Foundation (IPF) that strives to provide its readers with in-depth feature articles, which focus on under-reported global issues of importance, based on interviews with eyewitnesses and experts from around the world. Although the bulk of articles published in Dispatches International are from students who have attended an IPF training conference, many student journalists from around the world have volunteered to write for the publication. The publication currently has 25 writers from 15 countries, and is willing to consider applications from interested student journalists from around the world. IPF is a Canadian youth organization that empowers student journalists from around the world by helping them exercise their freedom to speak, freedom to think, and freedom to write. This is achieved through the quarterly publication of Dispatches International and the conferences held bi-annually to train aspiring student journalists from around the world. The most recent IPF conference, which was held at the Limberlost Forest & Wildlife Reserve in northern Ontario during August of 2009, was attended by 12 student journalists from 10 countries, all of whom are now regular contributors to Dispatches International. More information about IPF is available at http://www.internationalpartnerships.org.
